  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday based in our offices in Lytham St Annes
  • £23,130 per annum
  • Closing date 8th December 2024
  • Interviews: 1st stage from Thursday the 12th December


Our Jewellery Buying and Merchandise Team have an exciting opportunity to join our award winning family business as a Buying Assistant at our office in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

As our new Jewellery Buying Assistant you will undertake day to day tasks such as maintaining range plans, creating stock orders and liaising with suppliers on deliveries to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time. In addition to this, the Buying Assistant will support our Jewellery Buyers with the development and curation of our Beaverbrooks jewellery collections to maximise sales. 


Main Responsibilities

  • Communicate with suppliers via phone/email, managing stock orders, delivery deadlines, and ensuring accuracy
  • Support daily tasks, including data collection, range planning, performance analysis, and market research
  • Collaborate with Buyers to analyse trends, build product strategies, and liaise with departments (Marketing, Retail, Finance)
  • Work with the Merchandise Planner to meet departmental KPIs and foster strong supplier relationships
  • Develop knowledge of systems, provide store support, and assist with ad-hoc tasks to improve company efficiency and profitability
  • Strong commercial awareness and interest in jewellery/retail

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Excellent market and commercial awareness
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to build strong relationships with external and internal departments
  • Highly organised, self-motivated and pro-active
  • High attention to detail, level of numeracy, literacy & accuracy
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and take ownership
  • Enthusiastic team player and able to work within a team
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Passed Jet 1 and 2 (Certificate and Diploma)
  • Microsoft NAV experience
