Outbound Deputy Manager

(Web Dispatch & Replenishment)

Location: Lytham St. Annes
Salary: £36,000 – £38,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week
Closing Date: Sunday 28th September

The Dispatch and Replenishment departments are responsible for the accurate picking, packing, and delivery of items to our customers, stores, and boutiques within our fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.

Following significant growth in our Outbound operations, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join our management team and help shape our continued success.

As an Outbound Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for leading the management team and wider team to meet operational performance and cultural expectations, alongside identifying areas where we can strive for success. 

Reporting to the Outbound Manager, you’ll support the delivery of the annual strategy, ensure objectives and KPIs are met, and drive high standards across the team. You'll help build a culture of achievement, with people development and the Beaverbrooks Way at the core.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Within the role, the successful candidate will:

  • Work with the Outbound Manager to define and deliver the department strategy. 
  • Hold the management team accountable for delivering the expected department performance, ensuring that the Beaverbrooks Way is always upheld. 
  • Ensure the running of all department responsibilities, including customer orders, store replenishment and training. 
  • Ensure that the ethos of ‘every customer, every time’ is delivered with every shipment. 
  • Develop a department where the management team is engaged, influential, and work collaboratively each day. 
  • Work together with the management team to support the development of the entire department through the creation of clear career pathways or supporting an individual to be the best within their current role.
  • Be an active, involved role model with the ability to build great relationships with all members of the department, suppliers, and all office departments.
  • Role model the Beaverbrooks Way through accountability, open communication, and feedback. 
  • Share feedback in an open and honest yet balanced way, including performance management-led conversations where needed. 
  • Lead and inspire the team to strive for success and celebrate achievements. 
  • Accountable for supporting the manager in identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved services.
  • Lead the team through key peak trading periods with energy and passion.
  • Act, making well-balanced and quick decisions that have the company's values and ethos at heart. 
  • Communicate in a clear, accurate, and concise manner in both a written and verbal format.

Working Hours

Planned on a 4-week rota, shifts within the following times:

  • January–October

    • Weekdays: 07:45–21:30

    • Weekends: 12:30–20:30

  • November–December (Peak Trading)

    • Weekdays: 06:00–22:00

    • Weekends: 08:00–20:30

       DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • A competent understanding of MS Word and MS excel.
  • Experience leading a large team (10+)
