We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join our eCommerce management team as Digital Marketing Manager, reporting directly into the Head of eCommerce.

As the Digital Marketing Manager, you will oversee and execute the digital marketing plan, ensuring all eCommerce Marketing channels are continually developed in order to grow the company’s online presence whilst maximising sales and acquisition. Responsible for managing and inspiring a small Digital Marketing team, we’re looking for someone who is commercially minded, analytical and happy to take a hands-on approach to driving performance.

Role Responsibility

  • Devising and executing the digital marketing plan, including PPC, SEO, Social Media, Affiliates and Display/Retargeting.
  • Growing market share and customer acquisition, using digital channels to generate new customers for the business (both online and in-store).
  • Managing the overall Digital Marketing budget, overseeing spend across all channels and continually trying to exceed ROAS targets.
  • Delivering digital campaigns on-time and within budget, whilst meeting agreed KPIs/targets.
  • Performing hands-on optimisation to campaigns, adopting a test and learn approach to seek performance improvements.
  • Implementing segmentation techniques to ensure campaigns are correctly targeted.
  • Providing detailed analysis and reporting for all digital marketing channels that you manage.
  • Using your in-depth experience of advertising across social media to optimise and develop the social media strategy alongside our external agency.
  • Identifying new opportunities for acquisition that aren’t being utilised and plan these into the business.
  • Managing the Digital Marketing team within eCommerce (currently consisting of two digital marketing co-ordinators and one assistant), as well as relationship(s) with external digital marketing agencies.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • A passion for all things eCommerce and digital
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
  • Extensive knowledge/experience of search engine marketing (SEO and PPC)
  • Hands-on experience managing digital marketing campaigns
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commercial attitude with experience of managing large-scale budgets and working to strict KPIs
  • In-depth experience of Google Analytics or a similar analytics package
  • Experience and understanding of Google Adwords, Search Console, Google My Business and Facebook Ads Manager

 

Desirable

  • Ideally possessing a degree or similar qualification in Digital Marketing
  • Experience in an eCommerce role
  • Experience managing affiliate programmes, retargeting and display/programmatic campaigns
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies and experience running experiments/tests within ad campaigns
  • Strong competencies in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience managing people
