Job Introduction
- Picking & Packing Warehouse Assistant
- 37.5 hours per week (5 days) Temporary Contract until 14th January 2023
- Shift patterns fall within department working hours of Monday-Sunday 6am-10pm
- £9.75 per hour (£19,094.77 per annum)

We are looking for hardworking and motivated individuals to join our dynamic and fast-growing Web Fulfilment Dispatch operation as Picking and Packing Assistants. The department oversees the delivery of all customer orders placed through our Website & Mail Order channels along with our Next and Very affiliation.
As a Dispatch Picking and Packing Assistant, you will be responsible for fulfilling customer’s orders in an efficient manner, ensuring our customers receive their order presented to our high standards and set guidelines. In this role you will be on your feet for the entirety of your shifts.
Role Responsibility
The role will predominantly involve;
- Picking items for dispatch
- Matching items to the correct customer order
- Checking the item condition of stock prior to dispatch
- Following set packing guidelines
- Correctly processing order labels for dispatch as per customer shipping requirements
- Support carrier loading procedures
- Matching our volume targets to ensure all orders are dispatched on the required day
- Supporting with packaging deliveries
- Supporting with 'ship from store' packaging requests
- Ensuring all working areas are kept in a safe & tidy condition
(Duties will rotate between picking, packing and despatching of orders)
The Ideal Candidate
Essential
- Passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Transferable skills and experience from similar fast paced, target driven environments
- Punctual, enthusiastic and able to work at a fast pace
- Good rapport building skills and the ability to be adaptable
- Works well in a team but have good initiative to work alone
- Highly organised, self-motivated and hardworking
- A basic understanding of computers to operate the labelling process
- A keen eye for detail
- Proactive, with a ‘take action’ mindset
Desirable
- Transferable skills and experience from similar fast paced, target driven environments
All applicable training will be provided as part of the role.
