Job Introduction

Job Title: Marketing and Administration Assistant

Department: Marketing 

Location: Head Office, Lytham St Annes

Contract Details: Full Time (37.5 hours per week), Temporary 12 month contact

Working Hours: 9am-5pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: £17,150- £18,000.00 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly organised Marketing and Administration Assistant to join our marketing team at our Head Office in Lytham St. Annes.

This is a varied role where the successful person will support the implementation of various marketing activities across local marketing, brand, PR, CRM and social media channels and any other ad hoc administrative work the department needs.

The successful candidate must have a keen interest in marketing and retail. They will be able to demonstrate a confident ‘hands on’ attitude along with exceptional communication and time management skills. An ability to use own initiative and work quickly and accurately on a number of projects at any one time is essential.

 

Role Responsibility

The role will predominantly involve the following:

  • Being the first point of contact for our store colleagues (on phone and via email) when they contact the marketing team
  • Processing of all store visuals and POS marketing requests to ensure they are organised for timely delivery
  • Supporting and being the first point of contact for local store activity including:
  • In-store promotional events
  • Day to day coordination of all birthday and wedding fairs across internal departments
  • Safeguard events
  • Supporting the marketing team and coordinate all department administrative tasks i.e. invoice processing
  • Ensuring all tasks are completed on time and on brief
  • Assisting with the production of a wide range of marketing communications i.e. memos, promotional store packs and award entry support
  • Maintaining key information i.e. stock reports
  • Monitoring campaign performance and weekly reporting
  • Logging and evaluating press coverage
  • Coordinating any product requests for competition prizes, press enquiries, photoshoots and events
  • Creative artwork support (training can be provided)
  • Updating the CRM ensuring information is accurate and reliable and ad hoc email testing support

 

 

 

The Ideal Candidate

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

It’s important that the successful candidate has the following skills and experience:

  • Passionate about retail and marketing
  • Previous marketing experience and/or marketing qualifications
  • Previous administration experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident and assertive when dealing with colleagues, supplier agencies and clients across all communications
  • Proactive and able to work under own initiative and with team members accordingly
  • Organised individual with exceptional time management skills and the ability to demonstrate experience of working to deadlines
  • Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Microsoft Office efficient

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Experience of working with Adobe Illustrator/Adobe Photoshop
