Job Introduction

We now have an excellent opportunity available to join the Beaverbrooks Recruitment team at our Head Office in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire.

As the Beaverbrooks Recruitment Coordinator, you will be part of a small team that supports the hiring managers in our 72 stores, our office departments & our Recruitment & Training Managers, to attract and retain the best possible people for our business. You will be an ambassador of Beaverbrooks and will give a great first impression when welcoming all new colleagues on board.

Working hours are 30 hours per week over 5 days however there can be a degree of flexibility on start and finish times, and this can be discussed at interview. We have a recruitment peak from September – November each year where the option to work additional hours (up to full time) will be available.

This role is based at our office in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire although the team are mainly working remotely at present due to Covid.

Role Responsibility

  • Being the first point of contact for any applicant queries that come via the careers email and by phone, and for applicants once they have been offered a position.
  • Day to day administration via our applicant tracking system (ATS) including:
    • Advertising and closing of store vacancies
    • Processing applicants through the various stages of the hiring process
  • Supporting hiring managers and applicants with queries relating to our ATS.
  • Booking interview rooms and parking for applicants attending interviews at our office
  • Advertising store vacancies via a variety of ad hoc methods when necessary, to include job boards and social media platforms.
  • Supporting the hiring managers with the process for all new starters joining the business. This includes:
    • Setting up new starter files
    • Carrying out reference checks (by email or phone)
    • Putting together and sending of job offer letters and new starter contracts via our ATS
    • Arranging, booking, and inviting new starters to inductions
    • Booking induction accommodation and training rooms where necessary
    • Printing and sending materials for inductions.
  • Assisting hiring managers with delivering feedback to candidates
  • Maintaining recruitment and training records
  • Reporting on new starters references

The Ideal Candidate

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Excellent communicator – both written & verbal
  • Computer literate – confident user of word, excel & the internet
  • High attention to detail & levels of accuracy
  • Ability to prioritise
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Experience of using an ATS (applicant tracking system)
  • Experience of booking accommodation online
  • Knowledge of recruitment practices
  • Understanding of Data Protection
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to recruitment
