Job Title: Systems and Testing Assistant (Web Fulfilment)
Contract: 12-month temporary contract
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am-5pm but with the requirement to be flexible to increase hours at peak periods to meet business needs. Please see further detail in the job description.

Salary: £20,000 - £22,000 per annum depending on experience

We have an exciting, new opportunity for a proactive and highly organised Systems and Testing Assistant to join our web fulfilment operation to support in the ongoing management and maintenance of our order management systems.
The successful person will gain valuable experience on a wide range of technical systems that support our fulfilment operation and will also play an important part in the exciting rollout of our new order management system which is scheduled for launch later this year.
Our web fulfilment operation oversees the delivery of all customer orders placed through our own Beaverbrooks website & mail order sales channels along with Next, The Very Group and connected affiliate website.
Whilst the working hours for this role will predominantly be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, there may be the occasional need to work additional hours during peak periods. These hours may fall anywhere within the department’s operational days and hours (7:30am – 10:30pm, 7 days a week).
Role Responsibility
- Supporting the Web Fulfilment Systems Manager with systems maintenance, configuration, and changes
- Using logging and monitoring tools to investigate issues with the order fulfilment processes and recording issues for further investigation accordingly
- Assisting with operational tasks, such as order status checks, responding to system alerts and operational technical queries to completion
- Working closely with the Web Fulfilment operational team as well as eCommerce and IT, to ensure systems remain fit for purpose.
- Supporting with end-to-end testing of new system functionality
- Raising bugs discovered in investigation and testing fixes with our systems development team
- Supporting with planned system enhancement deployments
- Identifying areas for further enhancement or improvement opportunity

- Experience of working to tight deadlines

- Excellent analytical skills
- An inquisitive mindset for technical systems and services and is looking to develop and enhance their skills in this field
- Previous experience of learning a technical system confidently and quickly
- Awareness of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of technical systems solutions
Desirable skills and experience
- Previous experience of working with Microsoft NAV / Business Central or comparable Order Management System
- Experience of raising systems bugs or issues
