  • £25,0000-£28,000 depending on experience

We are now recruiting for a Digital Designer/Developer to join our award-winning Beaverbrooks family. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for digital and a desire to further their creative career within the fast-paced world of eCommerce. 

As Digital Designer/Developer, you will work within our eCommerce Content team, creating and building industry-leading onsite content across two websites, as well as creating digital assets for marketing channels.

This role is based at our office in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire. We are a social and culture centric company so whilst there will be some flexibility to work remotely, there would also be the expectation to spend some of the working week from our covid safe office. This can be discussed further at interview.

Role Responsibility

  • Working alongside other Digital Designers/Developers within the eCommerce Content team, you will be tasked with creating and building onsite content across two websites.
  • You will be responsible for the creation of assets for digital marketing channels, using Photoshop, Animate and AfterEffects (or similar programmes) to create industry-leading content.
  • You will be required to make CSS, HTML and JavaScript changes to the site, using the Web Content Management System to upload and edit online content.
  • You will translate designs into HTML, creating inspiring content pieces onsite such as seasonal Style Edits and Gift Guides.
  • You will be required to use your image editing skills to enhance assets and optimise them for use online.
  • You will keep abreast of industry best practices for areas such as SEO, accessibility and mobile-first design, ensuring that these factors are considered in everything you do.
  • Working alongside the other Digital Designers, you will be responsible for updating the website for key campaigns and trading periods such as SALE.
  • You will follow the website’s style guidelines, ensuring these are adhered to at all times.
  • You may be required to create variations of content for segmentation and A/B testing.
  • You will be required to work collaboratively with brands and partners to ensure landing pages and web content are up to date.
  • You will be required to support with reactive changes to landing pages where necessary.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Intermediate HTML/CSS coding skills
  • Skilled at working with Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, particularly Photoshop and AfterEffects
  • A passion for eCommerce and content
  • Basic understanding of SEO
  • Strong creative flair
  • Keen eye for detail
  • Excel working towards deadlines and in a fast-paced, reactive environment
  • Hold 'customer experience' in the highest regard

Desirable

  • Experience working within an eCommerce team
  • Experience using a web content management system
  • A keen interest in the latest digital and social trends
  • JavaScript knowledge/experience
