  • Temporary 12-month contract, 38 hours
  • Office based in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire* 
  • Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Join our award winning, family-owned jewellers as an eCommerce Quality Assurance Tester. Within this role you will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers enjoy a seamless and high-quality online shopping experience, that matches the exceptional service in our stores. 

Our eCommerce Product team is currently leading a re-platforming project for our websites (Beaverbrooks and Loupe), alongside other significant system upgrades, which presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of this transformation. This role would be well suited to someone who is passionate about software testing and quality assurance, with an interest in shaping digital solutions.

*While we offer flexible home working, regular in-office time is expected to support collaboration. Details can be discussed during interview. 

 

Main Responsibilities  

  • Create and execute test cases to ensure releases meet quality standards and are ready for launch
  • Collaborate with the eCommerce Test Lead to create and present test plans
  • Review and interpret requirements to ensure they align with business needs
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria
  • Support eCommerce releases by conducting pre and post release testing
  • Maintain and enhance regression and campaign testing processes
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Keep customer experience and service excellence at the forefront of all activities
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements in online customer engagement and conversion rates

The Ideal Candidate  

ESSENTIAL SKILLS  

  • Ability to demonstrate the values and behaviours of the Beaverbrooks Way - The Beaverbrooks Way
  • Proven experience in software testing, in an eCommerce setting
  • Familiarity with QA/UAT processes and approaches
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency
  • Highly organised and motivated
  • Have a proactive and logical approach to problem-solving technical and process issues
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • The ability to work closely within a multi-disciplinary team
  • A passion for online/digital 

 

DESIRABLE SKILLS 

  • Experience with CommerceTools, or similar eCommerce platforms
  • Familiarity with microservices, composable projects, and issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)
  • Automation testing experience and knowledge of website development and design
  • A technical degree or equivalent work experience, with specific QA accreditation, such as ISTQB or similar
