Job Introduction

  • Permanent 38 hours - Monday to Friday
  • Lytham St Annes, Lancashire 
  • Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus bonus and benefits.

Join our award winning, family-owned retail jewellers as an eCommerce Tester/Product Analyst. You will be part of our ever-growing eCommerce Team ensuring a customer journey that is just as unforgettable online, as it is in store. 

Our eCommerce Product team are undertaking the re-platform of our eCommerce Websites for both Beaverbrooks and Loupe over the next 12 months. This now opens up the opportunity for an experienced Tester/Product Analyst to join the team, to support the delivery of this project and their ongoing initiatives as they continue to develop the platform into the future. 

This role is for an experienced tester who also ideally has an interest and experience in capturing and reviewing requirements, to help in the shaping of the solution as they progress over the course of this project and beyond.


This is a hybrid role based at our office in Lytham, St Annes. As a social and culture-centric company, we offer flexibility for home working; however, we expect team members to spend part of the working week in the office to support collaboration and engagement. Specific arrangements can be discussed further during the interview process.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Create and execute test cases to ensure releases meet quality standards and are ready for launch.
  • Collaborate with the eCommerce Test Lead to create and present test plans.
  • Interpret requirements and ensure they align with business needs.
  • Gather requirements and ensure solutions meet acceptance criteria during UAT.
  • Own and escalate issues within test cases to address potential project impacts.
  • Assist in all eCommerce releases and conduct post-release testing.
  • Support regression and campaign testing and maintain up-to-date test packs.
  • Build strong relationships with technical partners, integrators, and the internal IT team.
  • Prioritise customer service and experience in all activities.
  • Contribute to improving online customer engagement and conversion.

The Ideal Candidate 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience in software testing, ideally in an eCommerce setting
  • Familiarity with QA/UAT processes and approaches
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency
  • Highly organised and motivated
  • Have a proactive and logical approach to problem-solving technical and process issues
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • The ability to work closely within a multi-disciplinary team
  • A passion for online/digital 

DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience with CommerceTools, or similar eCommerce platforms
  • Familiarity with microservices, composable projects, and issue tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)
  • Automation testing experience and knowledge of website development and design
  • Background as a Business Analyst, including requirement capturing; testing certification is desirable
