  • £50,000 - £54,000 per annum, depending on experience

We have an exciting opportunity to join Beaverbrooks as a Technology Business Partner within our established Technology PMO team.

Working closely with colleagues across our stores and office departments, you will build a strong understanding of their goals, challenges and priorities, and help ensure Technology delivers solutions that support them effectively.

You will act as an important link between the business and Technology, helping to shape requirements, prioritise opportunities and support the successful delivery of technology change.

Working alongside colleagues in our PMO and wider Technology team, you will support a broad portfolio of projects and initiatives across the business. You will work particularly closely with QA Analysts, Software Developers and other Technology colleagues to help ensure requirements are well understood, solutions are practical and changes are successfully delivered.

We offer a flexible hybrid working approach, typically around a 3:2 model between the office and home, depending on the needs of the role, team and business.

Main Responsibilities

There are five key areas of this role, which are:

Strategic Alignment:

  • Serve as the bridge between stores, office departments and IT, aligning technology with business goals.
  • Understand business operations, objectives, and challenges deeply.
  • Engage in strategic planning to prioritise technology needs.

Technology Solutions Development:

  • Gather and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with IT to design and implement scalable, sustainable technology solutions.

Project Management:

  • Manage technology projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams for successful implementation.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, IT, and vendors.
  • Communicate project status and gather feedback for continuous improvement.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.

The Ideal Candidate  

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Proven experience as a Technology Business Partner, IT Business Analyst, IT Project Manager or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering technology projects.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.

DESIRABLE SKILLS 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related qualification.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging technologies relevant to the retail industry is a plus.
