Job Introduction

  • eCommerce Tester/Product Analyst
  • Permanent 38 hours per week - Monday to Friday
  • Lytham St Annes, Lancashire -  This role will include some days working at head office each week.
  • Salary £28,000 - £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus bonus and benefits.

Working as part of our award winning, family-owned retail jewellers as eCommerce Tester/Product Analyst, you will be part of our ever-growing eCommerce Team ensuring a customer journey that is just as unforgettable online, as it is in store. 

As eCommerce Tester/Product Analyst you will be part of the Product team within the eCommerce department reporting to the eCommerce Product Manager.  

You will play a crucial role in the delivery of projects by executing the testing phase, in conjunction with the rest of the product team. You will have high attention to detail, ensuring each release meets business requirements, as well as satisfying quality and performance standards.   

This role is based at our office in Lytham St Annes, Lancashire although the team operate in a hybrid working model with a mix of office and home working each week.

Main Responsibilities 

  • Create and execute functional and non-functional test cases for releases to ensure they meet our acceptance criteria and satisfy quality and performance standards in readiness for launch.  
  • Support in the creation of test plans in conjunction with the eCommerce Test Lead and other testers and present these back to the Product Manager and Project teams. 
  • Support in interpreting requirements captured in stories ensuring they can be validated against the business needs.  
  • Liaise with Stakeholders to understand their requirements and to ensure that solutions meet the requirements and can be tested in accordance with acceptance criteria and business needs. 
  • Working with the rest of the Product team and wider stakeholders you will understand each project's key deliverables and priorities, ensuring that these are considered during UAT. 
  • Be responsible for owning any issues within your test cases and escalating them within the team to flag any impact to the project delivery.  
  • Assist in all releases to the eCommerce application and conduct post-release testing. 
  • Support in the regression and campaign testing and ensuring test packs are kept up to date. 
  • Building strong relationships with the teams of our technical partners/ integrators, and with our internal IT team. 
  • Play a key part in improving online customer engagement and conversion. 
  • Hold customer service/experience in the highest regard.

The Ideal Candidate 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency. 

  • Highly organised and motivated. 

  • Have a proactive and logical approach to problem-solving technical and process issues. 

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills. 

  • The ability to work closely within a multi-disciplinary team. 

  • A passion for online/digital 

 DESIRABLE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

  • Experience with eCommerce QA / UAT processes.  
  • Experience with the Commerce Tools platform or other ecommerce platforms. 
  • Experience with microservices and Composable projects.  
  • Experience of using an issue tracking tool, such as JIRA. 
  • Experience in automation testing.  
  • Knowledge and expertise relating to website development and design. 
  • Experience in a Business Analyst role or undertaking business requirement capturing/interpreting. A recognised testing qualification or certification is desirable but not essential.
